  • Karff's lone draw was in the last round.

  • Mrs. Caroline D. Marshall was the Tournament Director. Miss Edith L. Weart was the Assistant TD. Play was held in the Chanin Auditorium on Saturdays and Sundays.

  • Bain was from Miami, Raettig from Hoboken, and Nye from Syracuse. The others were all from New York City.

  • Invited, but unable to attend were Adele Rivero Belcher (NY), Nancy Roos (LA), Mrs. A. H. Palmi (Jackson, MI), Mrs. Charles Gurney (Yankton, SD), Miss Mary Selensky (Philadelphia), Miss Edna Horowitz (NY), and Miss Edith Weart (Jackson Heights, NY).

  • Karff won the title for the 3rd time, but no word on whether the Chess Review Trophy is still in circulation.
