2007 World Chess Championship
Vladimir Kramnik (Defending Champion)
Mexico City, Mexico
September 13 - September 29, 2007

Conditions:
8 Man Double Round Robin. After the unification of the Classical World Championship with the FIDE
Championship in 2006, Kramnik defended his Unified Title against the next group of challengers for the
FIDE Title. One condition of the 2006 World Championship Match had been that the loser would be
excluded from this tournament entirely. And if Kramnik were to lose his title, he was entitled to
a rematch against the winner the following year.
