SLIDE 13 (From Episodes 613 - 614; Broadcast 10/30 - 10/31/1968)

Joe emerged at last, from his death-like sleep just in time to hear Julia say the medicine was poisoned, and that Barnabas had tried to give it to him. Enraged, Joe seized a cord, and prowled the darkening house until he found Barnabas dozing in his chair. Whipping the cord around the defenseless neck, he jerked it tighter - tighter. Barnabas' eyes bulged - the world turned black-

Again, fate took a hand in the form of a woman. Mrs. Johnson appeared and, with a scream, hurled herself on the panting Joe, and loosened his grip on the murderous cord. Barnabas slid lifeless to the floor.



NOTES:

  • Who is Mrs. Johnson? Why, she's Harry Johnson's mother. Who is Harry Johnson? He's Mrs. Johnson's son. I know this doesn't seem to say much, but I've already told you more than the Viewmaster tells you about either one.

  • ...a hand in the form of a woman. -- I once had a Cheeto in the shape of a Q-Tip.

  • ...hear Julia say the medicine was poisoned, and that Barnabas had tried to give it to him. -- In the show she doesn't find this out until later after having a chance to analyze it in the lab. (Yes, she has a lab. Don't ask.) Naturally Viewmaster didn't have the time to tell us that, but they also don't tell us how she could have found it out for sure, right there on the spot. Taste Test, maybe? The Cyanide Challenge?
